Know your rights!

Welcome to our “Know Your Rights” page. We offer free cards in English, Spanish, and Haitian Creole—available to pick up or print online. Let us help you navigate policy changes and secure your rights. If you need assistance, please call us.

Navigating Policy Change

The Hispanic Center of West Michigan has a helpful and complete resource for the policy changes that are affecting people in our community.

Our Vision

Every individual residing in the United States—regardless of immigration status—is entitled to specific rights under the U.S. Constitution. ILRC’s Red Cards empower people to assert and defend those rights.

Family Preparedness Forms

Every family should have an emergency preparedness plan. Immigrant families, in particular, must prepare for potential immigration-related crises. This Resource Toolkit offers guidance on childcare alternatives when a parent is absent, connects you to reliable local immigration services, and provides steps for confidently asserting your constitutional rights during encounters with immigration officers.

Immigrant Legal Resource Center has planning forms in English and Spanish that can be helpful.
